The word 'stress' is defined as "a state of affair involving demand on physical or mental energy." Stress refers to the inability of humans to respond appropriately to emotional or physical conditions. Stress is a biological phenomenon and results in a state of alarm, weak body resistance and exhaustion. It is the inability of a human or animal body to respond. Extreme stress conditions can be detrimental to the human health. Surprisingly, stress in moderation is normal.

Stress Symptoms:

Common stress symptoms include irritability, muscular tension, inability to concentrate and a variety of physical reactions, such as headaches and accelerated heart rate. Stress can be risky and cause body-mind disorders. It affects the immune, cardiovascular and nervous systems.

There are different types of stress:

Eustress:

Eustress is experienced right before the need to exert physical force. It prepares the muscles, heart, and mind for the strength. It occurs when one needs to have an extra energy. Eustress is experienced when the body enters the fight or flight response.

Distress:

Distress is the negative types of stress. A person faces it under stressful conditions that the mind and body undergoes. Distress is because mind with a sudden change in the routine. There are actually two types of distress: acute stress and chronic stress.

Acute Stress

It is an intense type of stress and comes with a change of routine.

Chronic Stress

It occurs with a constant change of routine for week after week. It affects the body for a long period of time.
