Easter is one of the most awaited festivals for the Christians worldwide. The festival has an extensive planning and a long term of rituals associated to it. Apricot Tea punch

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottled Apricot mixture
  • Nectar
  • Instant Tea
  • Chilled Ginger Beer
Preparation:

Blend the nectar, the tea and the ginger beer with the Apricot mixture. Add ice to it and serve.

Easter leg of Lamb

Ingredients:
  • 1 pound lamb diced into cubes
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup chopped seeded tomato
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 whole bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
Preparation:

Fry the lamb pieces to brown in a non stick pan.Put the parsley, the tomato, the chicken broth, salt, pepper, turmeric, cumin, curry powder, bay leafs and coriander to it. Put the flame to simmer and cook for 1 hour. After that, take the pan from fire and strains the liquid and keep it aside. Melt butter in another pan on medium flame. Put flour and cook for a couple of minutes. Add the juice kep aside and milk in it. Cook it till the gravy gets slightly thickened and smooth. Put the gravy on the fried lamb cubes. Cook at medium flame and serve hot with white rice.

Peanut butter Easter Eggs

Ingredients:
  • 1 pack of confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 8 (1 ounce) squares semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • 1 tablespoon milk
Preparation:

Put the sugar, butter, peanut butter and milk in a bowl and mix well. Shape the mixture into eggs. You can make a series of samall eggs or two bigger ones. Refrigerate them for an hour. Cut the chocolates into small pieces and put them on the top of the double boiler with shortening. As they will start melting, stir them well. When the eggs are cooled off decorate them in the way you wish.
