Milk Pudding
Ingredients:
- Rice sago
- Milk
- 1 tblspful sugar
- 1/2 tbsp butter
- pinch of salt
Preparation:
Cover the sago with water for about 5 minutes and then strain the excess water. Then put the cereal on a pre greased dish and add butter, sugar, milk and salt to it. Keep it like that for 1 hour stir it well and cook for 2 hours in a cool oven. Stir it occasionally in every ½ hour. One can add egg to it and in that case the cereal needs to be boiled in the milk at first and then the egg should be added. Lastly bake it for 20 minutes.
Chocolate Pudding:
Ingredients:
- 300 ml Milk
- 3 Eggs
- 2 tblsp Drinking Chocolate or cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence
- 250 ml Thick Sweetened Cream
- 4-5 tblsp Sugar
- 4 Slices Brown Bread
- Chocolate Sauce.
Preparation:
The bread needs to be cut into pieces. The eggs should be beaten. Take warm milk and add it with sugar and mix with the chocolate powder and cocoa powder. Put off the flame and mix the beaten egg and the bread crumbs in the mixture and blend well. Grease the pudding tray and put the mixture in it. Cover it with a foil and cook in a pressure cooker for 30 – 40 minutes without any whistle. After it is prepared refrigerate it for an hour and serve it with chocolate sauce sprinkled on it.
Sigi says that most of the puddings can be prepared in the same way; only the flavoring and the garnishing depend upon one’s choice.
