Lipsticks are the most popular and common lip make-up. Lipsticks come in a variety of colors that go well with rest of the make-up and attire. It consists of a fatty base to cover the lips smoothly. The color in the lipsticks is imparted by pigments or by dyes. One can even find lipsticks in traditional tubes, pots, pencils, and even wands with innovative designs.
Lip Liner:
Lip liner is used to outline the lips to clearly define their shape. It gives lips perfect shape, define their shape and make the lips appear thinner or fuller. Always choose a darker shade than the shade of lipstick.
How to apply lipstick:
- Apply foundation and powder before applying lipsticks.
- Outline lips with a lip liner pencil. The liner color should be same as that of lipstick.
- To apply lip liner on the upper lips, start from the centre towards the corner of the mouth. and for the lower lip, work from side to side.
- Put some lipstick into a brush and fill along the outline of the lips. Open mouth to brush the color into the corners.
- Apply two coats of lipstick for longer durability.
- Press the lips after first coat on a tissue paper and then apply the other coat.
- For extra shine and gleaming look, use lip gloss, Vaseline or cream.
