Waxing is one of the inexpensive processes of removal of the body hair in asn effective way. It is better than shaving as in shaving, the hair tends to grow fast, but in waxing, the growth of the hair takes place at a relatively slower pace. It is quite likely in the case of waxing that the hair might take about 3 months or so to gain the actual form. Waxing can be done both at a Salon under expert guidance or even at the comfort of the home by one self. Here is a brief overview providing tips on waxing and assisting you to undergo the procedure amidst homely comfort.

Prpocedure of Waxing

  • Take a branded wax or a natural homemade wax
  • Heat the wax to have a consistency and put in thin layer over the skin.
  • The wax should be put in the direction of the hair.
  • Take some stripes of a fabric having a rough texture and put it on the part where the wax been put and smooth it at the dtrection of the hair and peel back the hair with a rapid movement.
  • Repeat the process until all the hair is removed
Tips on waxing
  • If you have planned to do the waxing on a particular day then make it a point not to wet your body before you are done with it. As water makes the hair sioft making it difficult to cling to the wax.
  • One who is doing the waxing for the first time must know that whether tha skin is porone to any allergy for waxing. Therefore the waxing should be done at first on a small area on the body and then to be applied in mass.
  • The skin should be washed and dried thoroughly to remove all traces of dirt and oil. Thias will ensure a better result and to greater extent of hair removal.
  • When the wax will be heated, make it sure to heat it at a moderate temperature, otherwise it might burn the skin.
  • When you will be pulling out the hair then don’t pull it up or out but pull it back.
  • After you are finished with the [procedure, remove the excess wax with a moist towel dipped in warm water.
  • Don’t use any soap for about 24 hours after the waxing.
  • You might apply a moisturizer in case of any irritation after the waxing. Actually a thorough hand massage will be good.
Making wax at home

Take 1 cup of brown sugar, ¼ cup of water and ¼ cup of lemon juice. Mix them together in a saucepan and heat at a low flame. Continue starring the mixture to prevent burning. As the sugar will melt down, you will find a thick brown liquid. This is the wax ready to be used. Cool it down a bit and use it. If you will be left over with an excess, then store it in the refrigerator so that you can again use it afterwards by heating it. This is a good form of natural wax without any harmful effect.

Sigi’s advice to you is that, wax your body sometimes but don’t do it often as otherwise it can have an adverse effect on your skin. It is also not advisable to wax the sensitive parts of the body.
